Welcome to the Cornell University Geospatial Information Repository (CUGIR)
CUGIR is an active online repository in the National Spatial Data Clearinghouse program. CUGIR provides geospatial data and metadata for New York State, with special emphasis on those natural features relevant to agriculture, ecology, natural resources, and human-environment interactions.
In order to provide the best possible access to geospatial data for New York State, CUGIR coordinates its activities with those of the New York State GIS Clearinghouse.

April 06, 2017 -- Agricultural district data (in PDF, KML, and shapefile formats) has been updated for 23 counties: Allegany, Cattaraugus, Chenango, Clinton, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Genesee, Jefferson, Madison, Monroe, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Ontario, Orleans, Oswego, Rensselaer, Steuben, St. Lawrence, Washington, Wayne, and Wyoming.
March 21, 2016 -- Agricultural district data (in PDF, KML, and shapefile formats) has been updated for 14 counties: Chautauqua, Erie, Herkimer, Livingston, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schuyler, St. Lawrence, Sullivan, Ulster, and Yates.
June 22, 2015 -- Septic system data aggregated by Census tract, from NYS Water Resources Institute.
April 08, 2015 -- Agricultural district data (in PDF, KML, and shapefile formats) has been updated for 10 counties: Albany, Allegany, Chenango, Delaware, Erie, Montgomery, Oneida, Ontario, Schenectady, and Wyoming.
November 20, 2014 -- Tompkins County Building Outlines have been updated for 2014. (The previous version dates from 2005.)
November 13, 2014 -- This is the 2012 update of the older Tompkins County Land Use / Land Cover dataset. (The previous version dates from 2007.)
