CUGIR is an active online repository in the National Spatial Data Clearinghouse program. CUGIR provides geospatial data and metadata for New York State, with special emphasis on those natural features relevant to agriculture, ecology, natural resources, and human-environment interactions.
In order to provide the best possible access to geospatial data for New York State, CUGIR coordinates its activities with those of the New York State GIS Clearinghouse.

Jefferson County Freshwater Wetlands
April 17, 2012 -- Updated NYSDEC Freshwater Wetlands for Jefferson county are now available.
Agricultural Districts, 2012 updates
March 16, 2012 -- Agricultural district data (in PDF, KML, and shapefile formats) has been updated for 17 counties: Albany, Allegany, Delaware, Dutchess, Erie, Genesee, Herkimer, Jefferson, Niagara, Oneida, Onondaga, Otsego, Rensselaer, Schuyer, Steuben, Washington, and Westchester.
Tompkins County Tax Parcels 2011
January 05, 2012 -- The 2011 Tompkins County tax parcels are now available, as a shapefile or as a DWG file (for CAD applications).
Tompkins County 2-foot topographic Contours
December 09, 2011 -- Derived from LiDAR data, these detailed shapefiles depict the elevation across Tompkins County towns.
Columbia, Greene, and Rensselaer Freshwater Wetlands
December 06, 2011 -- Updated NYSDEC Freshwater Wetlands for Columbia, Greene, and Rensselaer counties are now available.
