CUGIR is an active online repository in the National Spatial Data Clearinghouse program. CUGIR provides geospatial data and metadata for New York State, with special emphasis on those natural features relevant to agriculture, ecology, natural resources, and human-environment interactions.
In order to provide the best possible access to geospatial data for New York State, CUGIR coordinates its activities with those of the New York State GIS Clearinghouse.

Chenango County Freshwater Wetlands
August 08, 2008 -- Updated NYSDEC Freshwater wetlands for Chenango County are now available.
Seneca County Freshwater Wetlands
August 08, 2008 -- Updated NYSDEC Freshwater wetlands for Seneca County are now available.
Erie County Freshwater wetlands
June 18, 2008 -- Updated NYSDEC Freshwater wetlands for Erie County are now available.
Niagara County freshwater wetlands
June 18, 2008 -- Updated NYSDEC Freshwater wetlands for Niagara County are now available.
MRLC 1992 and 2001 Land Cover
June 05, 2008 -- The Multi-Resolution Land Characteristics (MRLC) Consortium has created raster datasets at 30m resolution, representing landcover classifications for years 1992 and 2001. MRLC also has datasets representing 2001 tree canopy (percentage), 2001 urban imperviousness (percentage), and landcover change from 1992 to 2001.
